About Me

I’m a registered certified professional midwife (CPM) trained through the National College of Midwifery and accredited by the North American Registry of Midwives. I’ve attended births around the world from Los Angeles to China and I look forward to how my unique background can bring you the ideal birth experience.

My love for birth began through getting to know international midwives working in underserved and low resource communities. I became a doula while finishing my university education and the births I saw there drew me to travel to a birth center that served remote villages in the Philippines. Over two years there I delivered babies in rooms without power, the backs of convenience stores, and homes throughout the communities. After my own two home births in Los Angeles and Denver I confirmed what I had been seeing for years…that through the birthing process we learn that we are capable of more than we ever knew was possible. My goal is to provide client-centered care that focuses on the innate capability of the birthing body and to provide individualized and empowering support for the motherbaby dyad.

I currently live in the Denver area with my two children and partner where I enjoy exotic cooking, independent film, dancing, and mornings practicing yoga on my deck.

What is holistic birth journey management?

If you’ve ever planned a wedding, you know the dream of your special day only comes together with meticulous planning and careful intention. We often view this day in such sanctity—hiring sometimes dozens of people to curate seemingly a million moving pieces —all to ensure a certain feeling that we will remember forever. Surprisingly this same careful intention rarely applies to the childbearing experience, even though the childbearing year is likely one of the most challenging and important years of our lives. When surveyed, parents say they needed to hire one or more additional healthcare practitioners during their reproductive year and were overwhelmed with how to choose the best providers for them. Additional providers such as doulas, chiropractors, and lactation consultants are very often necessary and yet are often an unplanned piece of the process. As your birth journey manager, I fully manage the process of tailoring and overseeing a dedicated team of the best practitioners, affording you time to nurture your spirit and body. Partnering together we are able to cultivate the ideal atomosphere of love, bonding, sanctity, and peace that all mothers deserve.

I’ve been in your shoes. Even as a midwife when I first found out I was expecting I had no idea of the many twists and turns my journey would take. I found myself with pregnancy discomforts I had no idea how to tackle and no idea who best to come to my aid. Was it a chiropractor? A physical therapist? A nutritionist? I also needed to interview countless potential providers and doulas in a new city to identify exactly what I needed in that time. The time and energy needed to navigate these decisions was exhausting on top of the already overwhelming sensations and spiritual transformation I was undergoing.

I believe every pregnant person deserves a supportive team beginning pre-pregnancy all the way through postpartum. There is truly nothing more valuable than having comprehensive support when you suddenly don’t know what to eat, how to move in your body, the birth experience to have, or how to feed your new baby on this journey. You will be able to focus on what’s important knowing that I will be at your side with a trusted team for every possibility, bestowing back upon you the gift of time. As your holistic birth journey manager, my priority is knowing you and your baby’s unique needs and being fully prepared for every turn your journey may take.

Concierge midwifery services

Similar to concierge medicine, as your concierge midwife I provide an unrivaled level of comprehensive care for you from conception to postpartum. Many clients around the world desire the tender personalized care of a midwife but for one reason or another must deliver in a hospital. This only affords them limited time on their provider’s busy schedule and often does not include palpation of their baby, attenuated detail to all aspects of their pregnancy or postpartum, and the heartfelt partnership they truly desire.

The midwifery model of care supports shared decision making, honors the body’s intuitive abilities, and believes that childbirth is a normal life event worthy of holistic support. By working in a cash pay system I am able to give quality and abundant care allowing you to rest easy knowing your provider is only a text away.

Choosing to supplement your hospital based care with the compassionate care of a midwife will transform your childbearing experience into a sacred magical life event that you will look back on with adoration and reverence.
